Delete your Inkspell account

Option 1 — Delete from the mobile app (recommended)

1. Open the Inkspell mobile app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Confirm deletion when prompted.

The deletion is processed immediately.

Anonymous accounts (onboarding)

If you started the onboarding quiz but never created a permanent account, you are using Inkspell under a temporary anonymous identifier. No action is required from you to delete it — anonymous identifiers and any data attached to them are automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity. To exit a sample session immediately, tap Exit on the "Demo · Sample data" banner at the top of the screen.

Option 2 — Email request

If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request account deletion by email:

Send a message to support@theinkspell.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my Inkspell account".

We process deletion requests within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation once your account has been removed.

What is deleted

• Your account profile (email, display name, user ID)
• Your library entries and reading progress
• Your personal entity overrides and notes
• EPUB files you uploaded
• Push notification tokens
• Subscription history attached to your account

What is retained

• Anonymized AI-processed book data. Books you uploaded are processed once and shared globally across all users who upload the same book. The processed entity glossaries, character information, and other AI-generated data are anonymous and not linked to your identity. They are retained so that other users do not have to re-process the same book.
• Transaction records. Purchase records may be retained as required by law and by our payment processors (RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play). These records are anonymized after the legal retention period.
• Aggregated, anonymized analytics. Statistical data that does not identify you may be retained.

Cancelling your subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To cancel, manage your subscription in the Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) settings before requesting account deletion. Refer to Google Play's subscription help or Apple's subscription help.
